From proof of concept to multi-project operation
AIOS is an active experimental architecture and working personal implementation — not a finished, universal commercial product. This page separates what's actually working today from what's actively being built and what's still exploratory.

Production multi-project operation and governance maturity
Working now — current verified capabilities
- A canonical core/governance project underpinning the system
- Multiple additional active project domains in real use
- A shared, project-aware gateway supporting governed discovery, routing, search, exact retrieval, note creation, and scoped editing for authorized projects
- Project-aware read and write authorization, tracked as distinct permissions
- An isolated, restricted synthetic project used for validation without touching real project data
- Current bootstrap and routing records kept separate from historical implementation records
- Ordinary project configuration kept separate from application release changes
- Current shared gateway baseline: Phase 2 v0.3.17
This list reflects the state verified as of 2026-09-15. Exact version numbers and completion status shift as development continues — re-confirm against current project records before treating a figure here as current.
In development — actively being built
Easier project provisioning
Guided configuration that creates and registers projects, assigns safe routing metadata, configures policy, and validates isolation and backup before a project goes live.
Stronger context resume
Maintaining a concise current objective, last meaningful action, blocker, decisions in force, superseded assumptions, and likely next action per project.
More AI clients
Expanding and validating thin adapters for additional clients, while keeping one canonical knowledge and governance system underneath all of them.
Exploring — early-stage and not yet committed
Fork / experiment tracking
Tracking alternate approaches, paused investigations, and abandoned branches, with the conditions under which they'd be reconsidered.
Talk once / low-friction capture
Classifying natural voice or text into facts, decisions, tasks, or temporary conversation automatically.
Tasks & commitments
Extracting meaningful commitments and follow-ups without turning every idea into a task.
People as first-class context
Relationships connecting conversations, promises, and projects to relevant people, subject to governance.
Opportunity and pattern detection — identifying recurring blockers or related ideas across authorized information — is also exploratory and not yet in active development.
